Fun, smart, laid back, and independent I'm currently a graduate student in marriage and family therapy, and I work full time at a group home. I went to UC Santa Cruz and have a pretty Santa-Cruzy mentality. I like to watch movies, go see awesome shows (I have a couple of friends in bands that have fun little shows that I love going to), I really enjoy nature and stuff like hiking/kayaking/beaches. I'm pretty close with my family, and I value the same in others, though obviously I understand when there are circumstances that make family relationships difficult. I'm a very understanding, open, caring, and generous person.

I have type 1 HSV, newly diagnosed, and a little unsure of what to expect. I would appreciate someone who is able to be supportive; I am actually handling the diagnosis very well, I see this as an opportunity for me to make some changes in my life and especially in my relationships. I have a lot to offer, and I have historically settled for people who were not appreciative and not positive influences in my life. So yeah- if you have a drug problem or a criminal record or any aliases or are unemployed or live with your parents (unless maybe you are in school or some other circumstance that makes you not a bum) I don't think we would get along. I need to have respect for someone in order to maintain any other sort of attraction, and since I work so hard to support myself, I place a lot of stock in similar values.

As you can probably tell, I am very honest and appreciate the same in others- I am not looking for someone who wants to play games, act like a child, get weird and stalker-y, or who needs a therapist (that is, I don't want to be your therapist. If you are in therapy more power to you, I obviously approve, being a future therapist myself. Don't worry, I won't try to *nalyze you. I'm a humanistic existentialist.)
