I am a professional woman in a management position. I am an energetic, enthusiastic woman that likes to live, laugh, and love! I have a fun and mischievous nature and compassion for people from all walks of life. Desire a relationship based on communication, honesty, trust, and LOTS of laughter! After being in a relationship and married to the same man for 25 years, we divorced and 2 years later I was in a relationship with a man for 6 months and contracted herpes. Forty four years old and felt I was given a death sentence. At first I felt I would rather battle cancer any day than deal with the stigma of herpes. I have started a new phase in my life and my sister had a great impact on that (she doesn't even know that I have herpes, she just knew it was a troubling time in my life after finally getting out of a miserable relationship of 25 years)-she sent me the book with the CD "I Hope You Dance" by Lee Ann Womack and I have chose to dance!
I know God doesn't give us any more than we can handle and it has definitely made me think differently about people that become victims to herpes.
I grew up in a very known family, good student, cheerleader, class President, Homecoming Queen candidate, and involved in many community organizations.
I am by no means better than anyone else, I am just trying to show that no matter what kind of life you live, you can become a victim from someone else's choice to not be open and honest about what they have. The man I was with for 6 months knew he had it and chose not to tell me. I only wish I had the courage to go out there publically and tell my story and the importance of practicing safe S-- no matter who you are with.
