So it seems it is impossible to find the right match. It is a challenge in general these days when you have good morals, dreams/goals and other standards. No I am not too picky my list is actually simple just not many people these are into being faithful or honest then add genital herpes. I hate settling I have done that in the past within the "herpes world" and it was horrible. So is this why there are such nice people who are in their 40s and alone cause they couldn't find a good match or they avoid dating I bet so. I do NOT want to be alone not even now and I'm only nearly 25. Finding someone who is looking for the same type of relationship i am and of a compatible culture that has gh seems impossible.

`i def know how you feel i got diagnosed almost a year ago n everyday i wake up its like a fresh cut thing is...your gonna have people walk out on you cs of what you have ...and your going to have people stay with you because they care about you more than some stupid std...gh def can change your --- life but it doesnt change you completely i hope you understand that im still trying to understand that..but youll find someone it just takes alot of hurt and alot of time .....(:

`I understand completely. I don't know how to feel about trying to date someone without and feel weird looking for someone with it! It has put dating out of my mind and out of my priorities altogether. It has, however, caused me to focus more on bettering myself...and I've lost tons of weight since I've changed my lifestyle. Just focus on self...and, if you're really serious about wanting to date, join one of the pay sites for similar conditions...you'll find people with and without and they will find you, too! Just stay stress free and happy. Hell, worrying about having a boyfriend was what got me into this mess... *sigh*

`In all honesty I think having it makes finding mr. right either. Why would you want to be with anyone that doesn't accept you for you're situation.. Atleast having this disease you can tell who really does like you or not. I think of it as a gift.. I can take 'finding' a bloke more seriously and in the long run it will be worth it good luck

`I completly agree...life is hard enough wanting to find your other half n now THIS.....but it will make things less bleak if we all try to be positive (although kinda hard to do even for me). I at times want someone just to hold, but how can I open up n date like this, unless he has it too......just don't loose hope!!! There are good guys who have this, finding them is the challenge but they are out there!!! Maria is right....you will know if you are truly accepted.....and please never settle!!!
