I've been trying to stay positive but this is getting rough. It's nearly impossible to find someone in my area with it who is remotely a match. I'm already out there in my own world so toss in some venereal disease and it's slim pickins... they said 1 in 4 but it seems more like 1 in 400... can anyone else relate?

I live in a rural area in Northern BC. So far I have found one person on this site that is within 400kms (about 250 miles), and he's a few decades older than I.
I find that it sucks the most when the only way to meet people is to spend your time at home winking at, and trying to compose flirty emails to, random photos on the other side of the continent.
Sincerely, STD'd in Smithers

`i just joined today, had an old profile i stopped using, but i think we pretty much all end up in the same boat with that one lol. where i am its not to rural, pretty busy actually, idk it would probably be a heck of alot easier if i was open about it, just cant. then you wanna get close to someone, but cant because if u care about them u dont wanna give them anything, so u dont do anything . lol. well at least me. argggg.
hope this site stays active, would sure be nice to make some new friends.

`I do agree, I couldn't find many people around my hometown that has herpes. But I found a few people in the city where I go to school. I'm assuming since it was a city where it was more densely populated, there was a higher percentage of people like me around.
