I'm new and newly diagnosed wondering what happened

Ok here goes...... I am a man in his early 20's. I am a late bloomer in the dating field, all through high school I was overweight and was shy at approaching women I lost all the weight 150lb. Now in college I met this girl we hit it off everything thing was going well. I held back from sleeping with her but then I developed a yeast infection that would not go away in my mouth and gentians awhile back so I went to the doctor and she did a blood test and I find out in four days I'm hsv positive which one i do not know she just said I got herpes which I never broke out plus idk how I got in a complete virgin and never did anything with a a girl. I then told my girlfriend and she got tested and she came up negative. I don't understand I have no sights never had an outbreak or soar any way she hates me now and treats me like I'm subhuman and left does anyone on this site have a similar experiance I'm in the ny area
